Greetings, Gamenologers! It’s been a while since we made our last post on our site, but we weren’t dead, we were posting stuff on Twitter for the last couple of days. But finally, a new post on our site has arrived, and that is about the Nintendo NX.
Seeing the failure of the Wii U, which failed to attract third-party developers to develop for the platform due to underpowered specs, the Wii U recently got hardly any third-party support, with hardcore gamers playing the PS4 and Xbox One. However, Nintendo were able to keep the console running well by bringing their usual merchandises like Mario and Zelda but it did not sell much as the PS4 and Xbox One did. Will Nintendo be able to bring back the hardcore gamers back into their ecosystem?
In a conference, Nintendo teased a new system codenamed “NX”. Few details were disclosed, like a new hardware and new gameplay concepts.
That’s all the info we have so far, but Nintendo also announced at the conference that they will developing games for mobile platforms in collaboration with a Japanese publisher.
What do you think about this? Do you think Nintendo can get back into the game or should they become a third-party developer like Sega did?
Let us know in the comments, and have a good day.
