It has been rumoured that the iPhone 7 is going to be a further revision to the iPhone 6 series and not feature a completely different design. A Wall Street Journal report has been made stating Apple’s expected plans for the iPhone 7, saying that it will closely resemble the iPhone 6s without the headphone jack. It has been reported that this will result in a thinner design that is more water-resistant than the current models.
The report also believes that the 2017 iPhone will be dramatically different, featuring a OLED display like the Apple Watch does and embedding the Touch ID sensor in the display while losing the home button.
For years, Apple Chief Design Officer Jony Ive has expressed a desire for the iPhone to appear like a single sheet of glass, according to people familiar with the matter. The current design ideas for the 2017 iPhones are expected to push the handsets in that direction by eliminating much of the bezel around the display, with the OLED screen.
There are also rumours that point towards a redesigned antenna design that creates a cleaner look on the back side plus a new colour option. A Deep Blue colour option could replace the Space Grey option that Apple has been using since the release of the iPhone 5s back in 2013. Apple previously used the Deep Blue colour finish on the iPhone 5 black models back in 2012 with a colour called slate.
So what do you think about this guys?
