Someone bought a leaked version of No Man’s Sky two weeks early

No Man's Sky

No Man’s Sky, the upcoming PS4/PC space exploration game which contains 18 quintillion planets, has been leaked on eBay.

One lucky person managed to get his hands on the leaked copy for $1,300 and posted gameplay videos of it on Dailymotion, containing the PS4 opening sequence and a full 24 minutes of first-planet gameplay. The videos were then taken down later.

Upon starting the stream, Daymeeuhn says “Sean Murray, if you’re watching, I’m an asshole, I’m sorry,”. Sean Murray reacted to this by saying “We’ve spent years filling No Man’s Sky with surprises. You’ve spent years waiting. Please don’t spoil it for yourself” on Twitter.

However, Daymeeuhn explained that Sean Murray’s disappointment made him feel bad about leaking the footage. He said:

“I expected Sean to tweet negatively about it because, let’s face it, it’s his job to… But I’ll admit, after watching so many of his interviews and knowing how cool of a guy he seems, it did make me feel a bit guilty. It wasn’t the sole reason for my decision, but it was certainly a factor.”

After the videos were taken down by Dailymotion, Daymeeuhn posted a Reddit update saying that he would not be making any more videos.

  1. I didn’t watch the videos because I didn’t want to spoil it for myself. Kind of a jerk move by that guy, especially that he’s flaunting the amount of money he spent on it. Ah well.

This was a great post, by the way. Have you ever thought about sharing your work on other sites? I’d be willing to help you get more views if you’re interested.
