Happy New Year from Gamenology!

2016 is finally here and we are looking forward to the upcoming tech and games in 2016. And if you want the latest info about these things, you have come to the right place.

To celebrate this special occasion we have uploaded the Windows 10 apps we have been working on to the cloud and is now available for everyone!

To download the apps simply go to the Gamenology Media website and follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the apps onto your Windows 10 PC. Remember that we are always looking for feedback!

Sony’s PS4 Has Fifty Percent Lead Over Microsoft’s Xbox One

This is good news if you are on the PS4 side! Not if you are on the Xbox One side. Me, between, but let’s see in a few days, shall we? 🙂

According to research by Strategy Analytic, Sony’s PS4 will have the edge over Microsoft’s Xbox One in the upcoming next generation console war.

According to the report, “Games Consoles: Purchase Intention Index Q2 2013″, 14.2% of consumers are very or somewhat likely to buy a PS4 within the next twelve months compared to 9.5% who will buy an Xbox One.

These figures  imply that sales of the PS4 will be nearly fifty percent higher than Xbox One. The survey was conducted across the US and Europe in June and  included a  representative population sample of more than 6000 people.

Jia Wu, Director, Connected Home Devices (CHD) commented “Our survey suggests that consumers believe the PS4 will win the early phase of the next generation console war. Minecraft for Playstation?

Minecraft is one of the fastest and best selling games of all time.  Reaching 6th in the PC record books and boasting over 10 million sales on the PC alone, Minecraft is no longer considered an Indie Game.   On May 9th last year, the Xbox 360 version was released, and within 24 hours had already become profitable.  Now the number of titles sold is close to 5 million copies with a further 7.5 million on their Pocket Edition.


The Minecraft craze is absolutely ridiculous.  If you haven’t played it then it would only be for the same reason that I didn’t to start off with.  Pure snobbishness.  Admittedly it doesn’t look great, and I suppose to watch someone else play is pretty boring, but when you get behind that little pickaxe yourself, you lose hours, if not days of your life.  The beauty of it is, you can play…
